2018 Lexus LC Review

The new Lexus LC is in the luxury sports car class with its sophisticated cabin and striking performance. However, it does not quite fit with the acceleration and handling of some high performing cars in its class.

Is Lexus LC Car Good?
LC 2018 is a great luxury sports car. Not only has a powerful 500 horsepower V8 engine, but its elegant cabin is flooded with luxurious materials. The frustrating infotainment system and bad cargo space is not enough to block the appeal of this coupe.

Should I buy Lexus LC?
The new Lexus LC 2018 is one of the best luxury sports cars you can get, as long as you're willing to spend nearly six figures on a vehicle. It managed to stand out despite being in the same class as icons like the Porsche 911.

Prices start at $ 92,000 steep, but LC has more value than many of its competitors. At a price of $ 156,000, Acura NSX has one of the highest starting prices in its class. 911 has the same base price, but can easily double that price with a higher trim. The starting price of Jaguar F-Type $ 60,000 is very interesting, but you have to pay quite a lot to bring it to LC level.

How Much Does Lexus LC Cost?
2018 Lexus LC 500 starts at $ 92,000. The hybrid version, LC 500h, sells for $ 96,510. There are some standalone features and packages that can drive the cost of LC north of $ 100,000. However, unlike some rivals, each LC model only features one available powertrain and drivetrain, so the upgrade focuses on safety and comfort features.

In a class where the base price ranges from about $ 43,000 to over $ 160,000, the base price of the LC is one of the more expensive ones. The Porsche 911, which starts at $ 91,100, is proportional to price and performance. However, the price could exceed $ 200,000 for the top trim. The all-new Acura NSX starts at $ 156,000, and like Porsche, it can cost $ 200,000 with additional packages. Jaguar F-Type has one of the lowest starting price in the $ 59,900 class. However, the price can be much more expensive than LC depending on the trim and its options.

Which one is better: Lexus LC or Porsche 911?
Porsche 911 sets the standard for luxury sports cars. It has an excellent track record of reliability and excellent performance. 911 has more than 20 different configurations that reach the level close to the supercar. While LC is more of the most comfortable large touring vehicle on a swooping, winding road, 911 is in a carving house on a corner or road. Both vehicles have excellent acceleration and the same starting price. Although, while 911 could surpass $ 200,000, LC is above about $ 110,000. However, for the extra money, 911 performance improved significantly while the LC remained the same as the base model.

The 911 infotainment system is more intuitive than LC's. It comes with Apple CarPlay standard, which is not available on LC. There is seating for four in both models, but LC has a more luxurious cabin. Nevertheless, both vehicles have narrow second row seats and very small cargo. Both LC and 911 are fantastic cars, so choosing between them comes down to personal preference.

Which one is better: Lexus LC or Jaguar F-Type?
At $ 59,900, the Jaguar F-Type base is significantly cheaper than the LC, but it does not quite match the Lexus in our rankings. The F-Type does not lack power in any way, but LC comes with a stronger base engine. However, you can get an optional supercharged V8 in the F-Type, but exceed the base price of the LC.

The F-Type delivers the kind of agile handling expected of a sports car, but its rigid suspension does not handle bumps in the road as well as LC. It is said that Jaguar has more than doubled Lexus cargo space. However, the F-Type has less passenger space and only two seats. The F-Type has a quality cabin material, but does not reach the LC luxury level. LC may cost you a dime, but this is the best option.

Which one is better: Lexus LC or Acura NSX?
The all-new Acura NSX (known as the Honda NSX in other parts of the world) replaces the original NSX, ending in 2005. The latest automotive technology enthusiasts will love the NSX, yet present at one of the highest. starting price in class ($ 156,000).


Acura designed it as a hybrid for performance compared to fuel efficiency. It has three electric motors mated to a more powerful twin-turbocharged V6 than the LC's V8. The Acura drive pump provides fast and amazing acceleration. Also, the standard all-wheel drive makes it one of the most formidable corner handlers in the class.

The NSX cab does not match the LC luxury level. Both vehicles have the same infotainment and technology features, but both also have frustrating infotainment controls. However, you must use a challenging touch screen for almost any NSX function, while the LC has several physical buttons. On the other hand, NSX has standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, both of which are not available on LC. If you want a vehicle that turns heads and drives like a supercar, the NSX is the right choice. Otherwise, LC is the overall superior car.


LC Performance
LC Machine: 1 Means and 1 Green
While the Lexus LC is a brand-new car, the engine is not. The 5.0-liter V8 engine is also used on the Lexus RC F and GS F performance models. Horsepower increased slightly from 467 to 471. The new 10-speed automatic transmission made its debut.

From a standstill, immediate power delivery and transmission are shifted just in case you want it. Standard paddle shock and manual mode also gives you more control over the car.

The LC exhaust note is routed to the cabin but not artificially refined in any way. It also reminds you that you are hitting a high naturally aspirated displacement engine, as many competitors downsize and turbocharging. However, it has a simple output of 398 pound-feet of torque.

Lexus pegged a zero-to-60-mph LC time of 4.4 seconds. That's equivalent to rival basic models like Jaguar F-Type (4.8 seconds with automatic) and Porsche 911 (4.5 seconds). Both cars have less standard horsepower (340 and 370 respectively) than the LC, and they receive it from a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine. Jaguar and Porsche have an optional trim and engine level with strengths that meet and exceed LC. The all-new Acura NSX makes 573 horsepower from the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine and three hybrid electric motor setups. Immediately reducing any turbo motor subsides, the NSX can zero-to-60 in less than three seconds.

The new LC is also available in a hybrid version, with a 3.5-liter V6 engine and two electric motors. Together these systems produce 354 horsepower. It will still make you move fast, but the gas model's only powertrain has a more encouraging boost.

LC Gas Mileage: Good With Hybrid
According to EPA fuel economy estimates, the LC gets 16 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The numbers are a bit below average for the class, but you do not buy a sports car to be stored at the pump, right? EPA has not tested the LC hybrid model, but Lexus estimates its efficiency at 26 mpg in the city and 35 on the highway.

Gas mileage varies slightly among LC rivals: the standard Jaguar F-Type gets 16/24 mpg, while the Porsche 911 standard gets 20/29 mpg. Despite the hybrid, the Acura NSX powertrain is geared more towards performance than efficiency - it only manages 21/22 mpg.

LC Ride and Handling: Sporty, Yet Refined
Lexus says that the LC stands for "luxury coupe" - it's not a 911-hungged high-performance car on the track, speeding and braking right at the turn. LC maintains sophisticated driving behavior with comfortable ride quality, precise steering, and a sense of direction. It's easy to show it exactly where you want it, though you will not get as much steering feedback from the road as you might get from some other athletic competitors. While other sports cars have a rough increase and rigid suspension that focuses on agility, LC combines sporty with the pleasure of daily driving. Parts of the LC body are formed from high strength steel, resulting in a rigid structure that shows a slim body distribution and excellent weight distribution.

How Many People Sit on the LC?
Lexus LC 2018 newly sold four people. The front seats are the right place, with standard skin and a 10-way power adjustment that ensures your comfort. These seats are commended for the support they offer while driving with eagerness. The available sport seats lull you even tighter, but may be a little comfortable beside some of the occupants.

Even though you may have a friend or family screaming for a car ride on the LC, this is not a vehicle for packed full of people. Medium-sized adults may fit in the back seat with a pinch, but it is useless for higher passengers.

There are two complete sets of LATCH attachments for car seats in LC. However, the system has not been evaluated for ease of use.

Quality Interior LC
The Lexus LC interior can be said to beat all its rivals, including vehicles from Audi, Porsche, and Mercedes-Benz. While the layout of the LC cockpit cabin is focused on the driver, elegance and quality are everywhere. Most of the surface is covered with soft and luxurious materials and handsome metal accents. Standard leather layers in the front seat, and can be upgraded with Alcantara suede inserts or completely covered semi-aniline shells. Other optional touches include Alcantara headliner.

LC Cargo Room
Luxury sports cars are generally not considered a practical vehicle. Even so, you'll get only 5.4 cubic feet of cargo space in the LC - enough space for some shopping bags. With a battery that takes up some space behind, the LC hybrid offers only 4.7 cubic feet of space.

Most of the LC's top competitors have a small amount of space. The Porsche 911 has front luggage with only 4.76 cubic feet of space, while the Acura NSX
